Casino Royale is a new and improved seeded bermudagrass derived from crosses of northern and southern adapted bermudagrass germplasm. Casino Royale provides improved turf quality, early spring green-up, uniform turf and significantly more dwarf growth than common bermudagrass. Casino Royale is dark green in turf color and predominantly rhizomatous in vegetative growth. This characteristic helps provide improved cold tolerance and durable sod strength.
Laser Poa trivialis tolerates an extremely low height of cut due to its prostrate growth habit. This leads to fewer clippings, a neater appearance, and less work for you. Used alone or blended with perennial ryegrass and/or chewings fescue, Laser germinates quickly and can be cut immediately after overseeding, making it a natural choice for winter overseeding in the southern United States. Because Laser is exceptionally cold tolerant and retains its color in cool weather, it is used in the northern United States in areas subject to shady, damp, and wet conditions. Whatever your growing situation, the darker green color of Laser will stand out on the course.
Salty is improved alkaligrass Puccinellia distans developed for home lawns, amenity turf and roadside mixtures affected by saltwater spray, salt water intrusion, roadside salt, ice melt chemicals, soils with a naturally high pH or high salt content. This slow growing, fine textured cool-season native grass has a distinct upright bunch-type growth habit. Salty has a medium dark blue-green color that produces moderately dense turf which can tolerate a height of cut as low as ½ inch. Left unmown, in non-maintained or native sites alkaligrass can reach a height of 12-16 inches.
Rich, dark color for the winter months. Snowbird arrives in the fall, thrives during the winter; and then transitions out smoothly as warmer months return without persisting into the summer. It's a darker green Poa trivialis that's perfect for overseeding in dormant bermudagrass greens, fairways, or other areas where esthetics and playability are essential. It produces a dense, compact turf, allowing it to be close-cut soon after overseeding for minimal interruption of play. Use Snowbird alone or as a component in mixtures. Its deep, rich color blends perfectly with newer perennial ryegrasses. Or in cool season latitudes, it’s a valuable component in mixtures intended for moist, shaded areas.
